Roleplay Rules

- There is no official word count, but you are expected to at least try and match your partner on post length and quality. If you need help, don't be afraid to ask.

- The season and weather information on the front page isn't just there to look pretty. It is provided so that there is continuity among threads and posts and to give people extra information to write with.

- Powerplaying is, for the most part, outlawed. The only characters that are allowed to powerplay are deities, demons, angels, and (in certain situations) souls.

- While personification is a big thing among animal roleplays, do try to incorporate at least some natural behaviors/quirks from your character's species into your writing.

- Humans are extinct, though they have left behind the ruins of buildings, roads, gardens, cars, appliances, power lines, etc. There is no power of any sort flowing to these things. Characters have no knowledge of humans and their civilizations, so of course they'll have no clue what these things are. They are, however, allowed to investigate them and attempt to discover their true functions.

- Keep what you know and what your character knows separate. Just because you know a character's name or what happened in another thread OOC doesn't mean that your character knows too.

- If a site wide disaster occurs, you are expected to mention and/or react to it in at least one thread after the disaster occurs. You can't ignore it just because you don't like it or don't care to do it.

- Above all, ADHERE TO CANON INFORMATION. For those not familiar with the term, canon means official and is often used in fandom-based stories and roleplays to denote information that actually appears in the television show, movie, or book upon which the roleplay/story is based. Canon information on Our Genesis would include the weather and season information on the front page, lore, myths, and provided background information about the world.
