- Due to the large amount of animals available for roleplay on Our Genesis, it would be impossible to set up a realistic standard for breeding ages, pregnancy lengths, and birthing seasons. Members are expected to research this while creating characters and to make a note of these ages and lengths of time in their applications. If you are seen with inaccuracies, you will be asked to correct them.
- Not all breedings result in offspring. A dice roll be used to decide if it is successful. Evens result in a pregnancy, while odds don't.
- Hybridization between species is allowed if it is possible in real life. No store item is required for this.
- When a hybrid character is bred, there will be a dice roll to decide whether or not it is fertile. Even numbers result in fertility while odds result in infertility.
- For characters whose species normally only have one baby at a time but can sometimes have multiple offspring, like horses, there will be a dice roll to decide the number of offspring. A 1 will result in twins while a 6 means triplets. 2s, 3s, 4s, and 5s mean a single birth.
- It is natural for babies to come out with deformities or to be stillborn, especially if one of the parents is past their prime physically. If you do not like the health of your cub/kitten/foal/etc., you can purchase a store item to fix it.
- Characters are allowed to breed with blood relatives if you so wish, though you should be aware that there may be genetic consequences for resulting offspring.
- Force breeding is allowed. It is preferred that you obtain the other roleplayer's permission first, though if there is no realistic way for the possible victim to escape or overwhelm their attacker, their attacker will succeed and breed them. Whether or not this breeding is successful depends on the same dice roll as a regular breeding.
